Using the site

You may read, share, and reference entries for personal and non-commercial use. You agree not to:

• Copy, republish, or redistribute entries in full without written permission
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access the Site in a way that strains servers or violates applicable law
• Attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Site or bypass any security or authentication measures
• Use the Site to distribute spam, malware, or unlawful content
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or organization

Intellectual property

All content on the Site, including entries, graphics, layout, and code, is the property of The Pot & Plot Journal or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Fair-use quotes (a paragraph or two, with attribution and a link back to the original entry) are welcome. For longer reproductions, email hello@gsearch.io.

Entries occasionally link to third-party products, services, and websites (seed catalogs, tool makers, soil suppliers). I do not control, and am not responsible for, third-party content, policies, or practices. Linking is not an endorsement unless I say so explicitly.

This is not professional advice

Everything I publish reflects my own experience in my own gardens. Gardens are local. What works for me in Portland, Oregon, in zone 8b, may fail or flourish differently in your soil, your sun, your rainfall. Use my notes as a starting point and adjust to your own conditions.

For serious concerns about invasive species, toxic plants, pesticide use, or anything with legal or safety implications, consult your local extension service, a licensed landscaper, or a certified arborist.

Changes to these terms

I may update these Terms from time to time. When I do, I'll revise the "last updated" date above. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of these Terms or your use of the Site will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Multnomah County, Oregon.
